The Highway Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece, in conjunction with BERI (Built Environment Research Institute) of The University of Ulster, UK and CAIT (Center for Advance Infrastructure Technology) of The University of Mississippi, USA, organized succesfully the 5^th International Conference on Bituminous Mixtures and Pavements (5^th ICONFBMP). The 5^th Conference was a continuation of the four past Conferences organized in Thessaloniki, Greece, during the years 1992, 1996, 2002 and 2007.

The 5^th International Conference was supported by International Organizations and Insitutions such as Transportation Research Board (TRB),  Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Institution of Civil Engineers of UK (ICE) .

The number of papers presented in the 5^th ICONFBMP, as well as in all past Conferences, is as shown in the diagram below.

The languages of the Conference were English and Greek, with simultaneous translation during all the works of the Conference.
